Lawn Treatment — Fertilization & Weed Control

A custom multi-step program that turns thin, weedy Maryland lawns into the thick, green turf you actually want to walk on barefoot.

Lawn Treatment — Fertilization & Weed Control

Mowing alone won't fix a thin lawn

If your lawn is patchy, full of crabgrass, or just won't fill in no matter how often it's cut — the problem isn't the mowing. It's nutrition, weed pressure, soil pH, and (in Maryland) usually all three. Treatment is what closes that gap.

A real seasonal program

We run a multi-visit program timed to Maryland's climate: early-spring pre-emergent to stop crabgrass before it germinates, late-spring fertilizer + broadleaf weed control, summer-safe slow-release feeding, fall aeration and overseeding to thicken the lawn, and a winterizer to set up next spring.

Soil-pH balanced for our region

Most Maryland lawns are slightly acidic. Without lime applications every few years, fertilizer just doesn't work as well as it should. We test where needed and apply lime as part of the program so every other input pays off.

What's included

  • 5–7 step seasonal fertilization program
  • Pre-emergent crabgrass control
  • Post-emergent broadleaf weed control
  • Grub and surface insect control
  • Lime application for soil pH
  • Core aeration and overseeding (fall)
  • Free lawn assessment up front
  • Bundles with weekly mowing service

How it works

  1. 1

    Free lawn assessment

We walk the lawn, identify the weeds, evaluate thickness and soil indicators, and build a program around what your turf actually needs.

  2. 2

    First application

Usually early spring with pre-emergent and a starter feed. We post the lawn and leave instructions for pets and kids.

  3. 3

    Recurring visits

Each visit is timed to weather and growth stage — not a generic calendar. You'll know in advance when we're coming.

  4. 4

    Fall aeration + overseed

The single highest-impact thing you can do for a Maryland lawn. Done right, it transforms a thin lawn in one season.

Common questions

How long until I see results?

Most lawns visibly green up within 2–3 weeks of the first feed. The real transformation — thick, weed-suppressing turf — typically shows after one full season, especially after fall aeration and overseed.

Is it safe for kids and pets?

Yes, when label instructions are followed. We post the lawn after every treatment and ask you to keep pets and kids off until the product is dry — typically a couple of hours.

Do I need aeration every year?

Most Maryland lawns benefit from core aeration once a year in early fall, especially on clay soils. It relieves compaction and gives overseed actual soil contact.

Can I do treatment without weekly mowing through you?

Yes — many customers do treatment only. But pairing treatment with proper mow height makes a big difference, so we'll share guidance either way.
