Mulch, Edging & Bed Cleanup

The single fastest way to boost curb appeal: fresh mulch, hand-cut bed edges, and weed-free beds — all done in a day.

Mulch, Edging & Bed Cleanup

More than dumping mulch in a bed

A real mulch job starts with pulling weeds, raking out old debris, and cutting a fresh hand edge. Then we install mulch at the right depth — usually 2–3 inches — keeping it pulled back off trunks and siding. That's the difference between beds that look professional and beds that just look... mulched.

Why mulch is worth it in Maryland

Beyond curb appeal, mulch insulates root systems through our temperature swings, holds moisture during dry summer stretches, suppresses weeds, and slowly feeds your soil as it breaks down. Re-mulching once a year keeps your landscape healthy and your beds easier to maintain.

Your choice of material

Premium hardwood, double-shredded dyed mulch (brown, black, or red), natural pine bark, or leaf mulch. We'll walk you through what works best for your beds and your home's color palette before we order.

What's included

  • Premium hardwood, dyed, or natural mulch

  • Weed removal and bed prep
  • Light pruning of overgrowth

  • Tree rings and natural-area refresh
  • One-time or annual mulch programs
  • Tarped, clean job-site

How it works

  1. 1

    Estimate by the yard

We measure beds, calculate cubic yards, and quote a flat price including material, install, and cleanup.

  2. 2

    Bed prep day

We weed, rake out old debris, cut a clean edge, and tarp surfaces to keep mulch off your lawn and walkways.

  3. 3

    Install at the right depth

Even 2–3 inch depth, pulled back from trunks and siding. No volcano mulching, no smothered plants.

  4. 4

    Clean blow-off

We blow off every walkway, patio, and driveway so when we leave, the only sign we were there is the finished beds.

Common questions

How often should I re-mulch in Maryland?

Most properties benefit from a fresh layer once a year, typically in spring. If you're using dyed mulch and want the color to stay sharp, an annual top-up is a must.

What color mulch looks best?

Brown hardwood is the most versatile and reads as natural. Black mulch makes greens really pop on modern homes. Red is bolder and tends to suit warmer brick tones. We'll show samples.

Can you cut new edges or just refresh existing ones?

Both. We can re-cut crisp lines on existing beds or carve a clean new bed edge along a tree line, foundation, or walkway.

Do you offer weed prevention?

Yes — we can apply a granular pre-emergent before mulching to dramatically reduce weeds throughout the season.
